Vaadi Herbals
Ayurveda: Its Origin
Ayurveda is the oldest surviving complete medical system in the world. Derived from its ancient Sanskrit roots – ‘ayus’ (life) and ‘ved’ (knowledge) – and offering a rich, comprehensive outlook to a healthy life, its origins go back nearly 5000 years.
The main source of knowledge in this field remain the Vedas, the divine books of knowledge the Rishis (Indian sages) propounded, and more specifically the fourth of the series, namely Atharvavedathat dates back to around 1000 BC.
Ayurveda For Beauty Care in Ancient Times
Ayurveda is the oldest known science, that originated in India, for detoxification and re-nutrifying the body. From ancient times, it is commonly regarded as one of the most thorough systems available, achieving transformative results on all levels. It rejuvenates the whole system, bringing youthfulness and strength to the body and calm openness to the mind. While specific cleansing therapies and rejuvenation tonics work on the internal body, a combination of massage, exfoliation and hydration work around the foundations of outer beauty and promote strength of a character.
Ayurveda is used to improve health, enhance natural good looks, or initiate cure of a disorder. Traditionally undertaken as a preventive therapy at the change of seasons, both winter to spring and summer to fall, the aim is to cleanse the body not only of waste materials that may have built up in the body, but also excesses in subtle energies or ‘doshas’, thereby promoting positive health and longevity.
Ayurveda and Vaadi
Consumers worldwide are going green, and this is especially true in the cosmetics market. Over the last few years, growth in the beauty market has been driven by products that use natural or herbal components, and the market share of natural-based products has been increasing gradually. Consumers are becoming conscious of the ingredients that go into the products they use and are averse to chemicals that are known to cause side effects. On the supply side, companies are engaging in advanced research of plant-derived peptides, encapsulated actives, active plant stem cells, complex extraction processes and clinical testing to deliver products that are acceptable to the well-informed clients.
The India market has been traditionally inclined toward natural products for their beauty needs, and Indians have a history and knowledge of using natural products since generations. The need is for companies to translate the ancient ayurvedic recipes into modern, easy-to-use formats with superior quality.
Vaadi Herbals has invested in research and innovations to produce a range of time-tested Ayurvedic preparations to enhance beauty and retain youthfulness – just the way nature intends us to be. Our commitment to quality extends throughout every phase of product development, manufacturing and filling. Herbs are checked for their essential qualities and tested at our laboratories where each ingredient is individually tested before it can be used to make a final product.

Ayurveda for Skin and Hair Care
The science of Ayurveda lets you identify your Hair and Skin type according to its principals. Regardless of your Ayurvedic skin/hair type, products with harsh chemicals and abrasives should not be used ever as they will only further imbalance the body.
Instead, natural herbal remedies are recommended to bring the skin and the entire body into balance thereby treating the issues experienced by all types. Vaadi products are formulated with “balance” and “nature” in mind as this is what offers the ultimate harmony.
Hair Type by Ayurveda
Normal Hair –
Is not excessively dry and needs washing about every few days.
Cleaning
Preferably use a Heena Tulsi shampoo or natural wash. Blot your hair with a towel and do not rub because wet hair stretches and is more vulnerable.

Dry Hair-
Is due to diet deficiency in the essential proteins and vitamins. The hair looks limp, becomes less elastic and is more susceptible to breakage and damage.

Avoid strong action shampoos, preferably massage your hair with warm hair oil. Lavender or rosemary shampoo are good for dry hair. They gently clean and enhance the moisture content in the hair making them manageable, shiny & healthy.
